Opening Churches for Private Prayer

Opening Churches for Private Prayer

As from this Monday 15th June

Each church in the benefice will devise its own schedule of opening for personal private prayer, because there are restrictions and safety procedures which must be observed to protect those praying from the risk of infection and all are able to open for private prayer in accordance with governmental and diocesan guidelines.

The Hills Churches St Michael’s, Raddington and St Mary Magdalene, Clatworthy are open 11am till 12 noon on Sundays, St Peter’s, Huish Champflower 10am till 11am, and All Saint’s, Chipstable 9am till 12noon.
St John the Baptist, Tolland, St Mary’s, Brompton Ralph and St Luke’s Langley Marsh are open all day everyday with self-sanitizing and self-tracking procedures in place and on trust. Please contact the relevant churchwarden for details and special arrangements.

St Andrew’s will be open 11 am till 12 noon weekdays, and on
Sunday’s from 10.45am-11.45am supervised by Martin or a delegated member of the church, or by personal arrangement with Martin on 248601 (the Rectory) at more convenient time.

Visitors to St Andrew’s will be asked to sanitise their hands on entering and leaving the church, and on departure to sanitise the surfaces which they have touched, especially door handles/entry pads. They will also need to submit their name and contact details for tracking and tracing purposes, in compliance with government policies.

These arrangements will be in place until Sunday 5th July, after which after which the church will remain shut for a further two weeks while contractors refurbish the sound system. We aim to re-open on 19th July, subject to the completion of the work.
